Best Summer Wine Cocktails

August 16, 2023
Frozen Rosé summer wine cocktail.

Today we will be discussing the best summer wine cocktails that are delicious and easy to prepare!

Refreshing Rosé Cocktails

Rosé is the perfect light and refreshing wine for a summer sip. If you are hosting a summer dinner party or just trying to elevate your evening glass of Rosé, wine cocktails are the way to go.

Starting strong, we have Frosé, or Frozen Rosé. This fun and fruity summer beverage combines Rosé, frozen fruit, and honey or agave syrup. For the frozen fruit, you can really use anything but I would recommend frozen strawberries or frozen cherries! The preparation for this drink is super simple, as you just blend all of the ingredients together. This frozen wine cocktail is the perfect way to cooldown after the beach or the pool and comes together in less than five minutes.

Next, we have a Rosé Sangria. This is the perfect drink for that summer dinner party you have coming up. This summer cocktail requires more preparation than the Frosé, but the work will definitely pay off. You will need fruit, sugar or substitute, Rosé wine, Brandy, and mint for the garnish. Checkout the full and indepth recipe here. This delicate and delicious drink is sure to be a crowd pleaser, just remember there is some prep time involved with this cocktail!

The Aperol Spritz

This drink definitely deserves all the hype it has surrounding it and I would even venture to say it is the ultimate summer wine cocktail. The Aperol Spritz truly embodies that summer feeling with its bold orange coloring and sparkling appearance. This cocktail is made with a sparkling wine like Prosecco, Aperol, and soda water using a 3-2-1 ratio. Serve this crisp cocktail over ice and enjoy with your favorite summer meal.

Aperol Spritz: sparkling wine based cocktail.

White Wine Summer Spritzers

If you are in a hurry or just need a drink in your hand as soon as possible, white wine spritzers are a great choice. These spritzes are made with just three ingredients- white wine, club soda, and a lime wedge for garnish.

If you have a bit more prep time and are looking for a way to spruce up this drink, look no further. This wine cocktail can be taken to the next level by blending watermelon and agave and adding the fruit mixture to the white wine spritzer. Serve over ice and enjoy this tasty beverage all summer long!
