Find Out More About Domestic Wines from the Malibu Coast
As part of the Malibu Coast AVA, AJA Vineyards on the Malibu Coast combines a humid ocean climate, rocky soils, and a dry hilltop climate that all add up to an ideal location for growing grapes. Domestic wines from the Malibu Coast are unique because the climate causes the vines to grow fruitfully, with abundant and exceptional grapes.
Cabernet Sauvignon is the most common domestic wine grape grown in the Malibu Coast, although other wine grapes such as Syrah, Merlot, and Chardonnay are also planted as well.
One fact that separates AJA Vineyards from other California vineyards, or domestic vineyards in general, is that AJA Vineyards is an estate-grown vineyard on the Malibu Coast. Although the Malibu Coast AVA is an ideal place for vineyards, there are not a lot of vineyards or wineries focusing on Malibu Coast wines. Alec’s Club
Three bottles, three times a year. The easiest way to taste our wines.

My brother Alec likes to have a variety of options. Alec would rather have a dinner of multiple appetizers than a single sit-down steak entree. He’ll go to three different stores to find exactly what he needs but also make sure he’s getting the best deal he can. He’s very practical which is why I named this club after him. At 9 bottles per year spread out over three shipments, this offers you the variety you’re looking for in small bite sized pieces. If you’re like Alec, this club is for you!

A classic wine club with six bottles shipped twice a year.

My brother Jack is a value guy. He’d rather go to Costco and buy in bulk if he knows he’s getting the best discount, than go out every week to buy new groceries. He gets a case of wine to keep around the house and grabs a bottle when he feels like it. Simple as that! But, this club is still fully customizable…so though our default shipments will be all red, if you decide you want to switch it up, you can still do that! If you prefer red wines only, this club is definitely for you!

Our greatest value at twelve bottles twice a year.

If you drink a lot of wine, or live further away, you always will need some extra wine on hand. Amanda says, if you love a wine, buy a case of it and enjoy a little bit each year over time. You just never know when it’s going to be all gone. With Amanda’s club, you sign up to receive 1 case of wine twice a year. You’ll have the perfect amount of wine at family member prices!

Payments will be processed two weeks prior to each shipment and shipped out on the first of April, October and (for the three bottle club) January. AJA Vineyards does not ship club allocations during the warmer months as to help prevent spoilage or weather damage to your wines. We hope to bring to you the delicious wines of the Malibu Coast.
