How Is Rosé Wine Made?

The juice that comes from grapes is often clear, and the wine hue is from the grape skin. Maceration is a winemaking process that refers to when the juice of the wine soaks in all of the flavors and colors of the skin, which creates the color of the wine. When making rosé wine, we get rid of the skins and ferment the juice once it has turned into the desired color. This is called the Direct Press Process.
